The day of our trip has finally arrived! In 10 hours our plan should be taking off for the beautiful country of Greece!
To say we are excited is an understatement. It seems surreal that it is finally here but we are so eager to have fun and enjoy the sights, the sea, the food, the wine, and yes even the weather. Although, I really don’t think it will be much different than what we have been experiencing here at home. 🥵☀️
This wouldn’t be an interesting blog if I didn’t share some personal “dirt”. 😜So, I kept insisting to John that carry-on luggage just was not going to be enough for this trip. I have too many liquid products (like sunscreen and shampoo/conditioner—as my stylists says my hair is an investment 🙂) to take inside the plan. He argued with me and insisted that I should be able to fit all of my stuff into the carry-on and personal item because he will. I didn’t give in. I packed another carry-on to check, but guess what we had to do last night when he was packing? We had to repack my checked bag into a bigger suitcase so he could add to it. 😂 I’m not upset— his drone and go-pro will be great for this blog and my travel site—,but I was laughing!
All kidding aside, I am so grateful since it is really because of him that I’m getting to go to a place that has been on my bucket list! We have so many amazing activities planned and we are also going to get to spend a few days with his cousin and her family while we are in Athens.
Stay tuned to see how we fare on the scooter, the boats, the horses, the buggie, the drive across the country, and with jet lag, a language neither of us knows, and 17 days with each other in the heat, and unfamiliar places. 😜
